Australians rule the 2015 AVC Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship Hong Kong

Hong Kong, China, October 6, 2015 – Australians Louise Bawden/Taliqua Clancy of Australia 1 thrashed Vanuatu’s top seeds Linline Matauatu/Miler Pata in comfortable straight sets 21-16 21-15 to capture the 2015 AVC Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship Hong Kong on Sunday. For the victory, Bawden/Clancy claimed US$10,000 cash prize plus 500 world ranking points, while the Vanuatu’s duo collected US$7,500 cash plus 450 points. The third place went to Australia 2’s Mariafe Artacho Del Solar/Nicole Laird, who powered past China 2’s 21-16 21-14 in the playoff. The Australians claimed US$5,000 plus 400 points.
